More From Bishop Slattery on the Sacred Liturgy: Recovering the Sung Introit and Looking to the New English Missal

From the folks at the New Liturgircal Movement comes this excellent piece:

More From Bishop Slattery on the Sacred Liturgy: Recovering the Sung Introit and Looking to the New English Missal

I admire Bishop Slattery. Sadly, I think that we tend to have the mentality that the music of the Mass consists of what is commonly known as the "Four-hymn sandwich." We forget that hymns are actually the last option given by the General Instruction of the Roman Missal. I hope that folks will take to heart what Bishop Slattery wrote in his diocesan publication.
